I drove my truck to the mechanics garage and needed my transmission pan gasket replaced so he said do the filter as well so I did and they said now the truck wont move and that I need a new pump or tranny I know for a fact they did something wrong because I drove it there that day and have never had a problem. They said they double checked the fluids and they were fine and the filter is definitly the right one they say so what could the problem possibly be so I can get my truck back

If they left the o'ring off the filter it may be sucking air into the pump, causing it to not work.I would definitly tow it to a trans shop and have it looked at, that is alot of coincidence.

I have never seen a trans pump "lose its prime" doesnt mean it cant happen I guess, but I havent seen t in 20+ years. There are electrical connectors on the solenoids in the trans valve body, maybe they accidenatlly hit one and caused it to lose connection
