I have a 94' F-150 XL w/ 5 Spd Man Trans and 2WD. I had been running on the rear tank and one day at the pump the attendant put my fuel order in the front tank, so I had been running for a few days on the front, when ou of the blue one night it started spiting and sputtering and acting like it was running out of fuel with about 1/4 tank showing on the guage, the rear was empty at the time, but I put fuel in the rear tank and it had been running fine ever since...until last night, when I had the same issue occour again, this time with the back tank...I put new fuel in, put some "dry gas" in, and still no resolve. The truck basically acts like its running out of fuel, dies, and then I was able to start it, and it would run fine at idle, but then when I put it in gear and went to take off, it would sputter and die...it finally started running rough on idle and then "diesled" and died all together and has not started since. I check the ignition components - coil and plug wires by using the screw-driver arc method...and I know I'm getting spark through the coil and cap because I zapped myself when I tested a plug wire. Both fuel pumps are "priming" with the normal ford humm or whine. When It was on the flat bed I noticed a leak coming from the front of the front tank, (which I ran dry after the issue) so I am thinking I either have a clogged fuel filter or a rotted or busted fuel line because of the visible leak, however I had a 92 F-150 with similar symptoms in which I changed the fuel filter and it ended up turning out to be a melted coil once we got it to the shop....could someone please point me in the right direction on this? Thanks!

Test the pressure as shown in this vide, and is your check engine light on?
