I just bought my first truck today. When I bought it it was on Empty. I drove it to a gas station and filled it up halfway. I went to work and when I came home I smelld gas. I looked under the truck and the front tank was leaking vary vary slowly. But when I bought it, it was not leaking. I do not know if there is gas in the rear tank. What should I do? Should I get a new tank? or fix up the old?

You may be able to haev the old one fixed, but it it could be a different problem. Were you using the rear tank when the front began to leak? Ford had some problems with tehrear tank filling the front ones to the point of overflowing. If that is the case, you may need a new, updated fuel pump in the front tank that has a built in check valve to keep this from happening

no. but there is a small amount in the rear tank. a friend of mine said it might be a bad hose or seal.

Could be. Look for stains on the tank to help find the leak.If coming from the top, it could be the tank unit seal, but the tank would have to be completely full for that to leak
