Hello,

I ran into a similar problem with an 89 e150. The only difference was that it would run for a bout 20 - 30 minutes. I finally track it down to the Coolant Temp Sensor after about 2 weeks. Also do not use the Plastic Sensors in this model they don't seem to last but a month or so.
