Hello,

I have a 1976 Ford F-150 camper special with a 4 speed automatic transmission and a 390 V8 engine. The trans is hesitating when shifting from all gears longer than what feels natural a couple examples are if I gas the motor for passing power the delay can be as long as 5-10 seconds from 3rd to 2nd before shifting to give the truck more power. The same occurs when going up steep grades it will attempt to shift from 4th back to 3rd resulting in unsafe loss of speed vs other traffic. On flat land the delay is similar and there is an abnormal delay from 1st to 2nd as well. The trans fluid is clean, full and has no burnt odor.
