I have a 2001 ford explorer awd 5.0 115000miles. I'm having trouble with the cooling temp sensor ; the wiring conector has been splice in four places. New sensor but the temp gauge on the dash is not working and i'm geting p0125 code. Any idea on a fix?

You need to open up the splices and investigate for shorts/opens/ref voltage

Check the CTS's resistances and when continuity checks out on the wire, you should only have 2 splices when completed. If CTS and wire checks out-might be the gauge itself.

HTH Good Luck!
