The Ford place is telling me that I should have a "Brake Flush" done and will charge me $90.00 to do this. I have never heard of a brake flush. Is this necessary? They say the fluid gets dark, breaks down, and will take the zinc out of my brake line. Thanks for your help.

You can if you want. But remember its there job to sell service. No you probably dont need a brake flush. My wife went to the dealer with our truck and they wanted to change idler arm when all she wanted was a rotation. I said no way on a 2005 explorer that is never used off road. Brake fluid had conditioners in it and for a 2005 to need a flush is not likely.
