I have no heat in my explorer. The AC works and the blower works fine. I was told by a mechanic that my blend door is broken and I wanted to know if If I took out the radio if I could reach in and fix it versus taking the whole dash board apart? The cost they quoted me was about 800 dollars.
Thank You

Actually, your blend door is located behind the glove compartment, so it cannot be accessed by removing the radio. And are they replacing the entire blend door assembly or just the actuator? In some cases, the actuator, which opens and closes the door, can be replaced by itself, thereby saving you some $.
