I have the infamous 04 Explorer Rear Diff. Humming noise. It appears at the 66-74 mph range. I have had it rebuilt 3 times with the Kit Ford reccomends on their TSP. Each time the noise returns sooner than before. Anywhere from 5,000-20,000 miles. Would using a "Moly" or Molybnium Disulfide product help? Any other suggestions? Thanks

Molybdenum Disulfide Lubricants are designed to help protect and extend the life of automotive gears, rear axles and differentials. They provide outstanding protection, even in the most extreme operating conditions or service, and exceed the most severe requirements for many automobile and truck rear axles. Therefore, it would be a good choice. There are many good brands to pick from. For example, Mobil 1, Valvoline. I would recommend a synthetic. However, if the back lash isn't properly set when the differential is rebuilt, it will lead to the same noise over and over regardless of what you use. Is it the same person that has rebuilt it several times?

They have to be doing something wrong. You should get more than 5K out of it. Regardless, try using the lubericant you asked about. It may be helpful.
