I just walked out to my vehicle and the brakes lights were on, I removed the connection at the master cylinder and they remained on, I removed the fuse under the dash and they went off. Is there an additional relay or something in this circuit? One other problem that drives me crazy, every once in a while the gas gauge goes "dead" and I get the check gauge light. It will sometimes work again if I shut it off and restart the engine. This can occur while driving or at first start up. Thanks.

As far as the brake light, check the switch on the brake pedal. It may be out of adjustment or bad. As far as the check engine light, take it to a nationally recognized parts store and have them scan the computer for codes. Let me know what you find.

Hi, Thanks for your response. The brake light issue was indeed the switch on
the pedal. I hooked up a ODBII reader and tried to down load any errors, it
showed none. I started the vehicle, the "check gage" light came on with the
gas gage dead and it still reported no error.
