2002 Ford Explorer water pump

I have a small drip coming from the bottom of the water pump. Also on a morning start up the belt squeaks bad with the defrost on. I have changed the serpintine belt and flushed the water system. Ibeleive the water pump is getting ready to go out. What is the proper way of changing water pump?

Removal and Installation
Drain the engine cooling system. For additional information, refer to COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING.
Remove the cooling fan. For additional information, refer to COOLING FAN.
Remove the accessory drive belt. For additional information, Refer to appropriate ENGINE article.
Slide the upper water bypass hose clamp back.

Disconnect the heater hose at the water pump.
Release the clamp.
Remove the hose.

Disconnect the lower radiator hose at the water pump.
Release the clamp.
Remove the hose.

Remove the water pump pulley.

Remove the water pump and discard the gasket.

NOTE:Use metal surface cleaner and a suitable plastic or wooden scraper to clean the sealing surfaces.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
Install a new water pump gasket.
Install an appropriately sized worm drive-type clamp in place of the constant tension clamp.

Removal and Installation
Drain the cooling system. For additional information, refer to COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING.
Remove the engine cooling fan. For additional information, refer to COOLING FAN.
Loosen the water pump pulley bolts.

Rotate the tensioner clockwise and remove the belt.

Remove the bolts and the water pump pulley.

Remove the water pump bolts.

Remove the (A) water pump from the (B) cylinder block.
Discard the O-ring seal.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
Install a new O -ring seal and lubricate with engine coolant.
