Electrical problem
2002 Ford Explorer Two Wheel Drive Automatic

My left rear taillight assembly turn signal is not working nor is the stoplight. I have already replaced the bulb with a known good bulb. It does the typical thing when you try to use the turn signal, fast clicking noise and fast flashing of the left front indicator. I suspect that it may be a relay, but I want to be sure.

Thank you,

William Cochran

Try removing your steering column cover and checking the wiring harness. Sometimes the clips that hold the wiring in place can come loose and let a wire or two come loose. If this is fine you may need to replace the actual turn signal switch itself. You will want to check for the loose wiring first because the switch is not cheap.
