2002 Ford Explorer Deceleration noise?

Transmission smooth in all gears during acceleration and deceleration. After 10 min of driving acceleration still good however when I take my foot off the gas a wobbling or clunking sound resonates in the cab and appears to be coming from the rear of the vehicle. Slight vibration noticed, no pulsation in the pedal.

Yes I am replying to my own discrepancy in order to help other techs with similar future problems. The rear drive axle nut came loose allowing the axle to slightly separate from the differential by 1/2". Removed drive axle tightened and peened nut, also replaced pinion seal. Problem is fixed.
