I switch the start and no sound at all. I changed a battery, still the same. A friend mechanic says could be the alarm, but I have no alarm except that the thift light is still flashing. When I switch to start, no sound but the lights and horn is still on. Please help.

If the security light is staying on, the computer has the vehicle shut down. I hate to say it, but the only place to have it properly diagnosed is a dealer.

I recommend a dealer. They have the proper test equipment to diagnose this type of problem. Most independent shops won't have what is needed.

Let me know how you make out.
