i drive a 2000 Ford Explorer Sport. I have noticed a couple of things in the past week. The light behind my gas gauge went out-im thinking fuse. And now when i turn my car on, the radio face (which is in digital) flickers- but then after a while it stops. My dad told me my alternator was going and that powers the battery. I just bought a new battery less then a year ago. please help. Jackie

Hi JacklynH and welcome to 2carpros

For a start you might consider a load test on both the alternator and battery-alternator not putting out the correct output or the battery is not taking the reconditoning from the alternator-Get it done and then comeback
