battery is dead I only have remote to gain entry how can I open hood to jump battery?

If you don't have a key for the door, you will have to try and manually unlock the hood through the grill of the vehicle or get a "slim jim" and unlock a door. I don't know where you are, but in PA, we can call the police and have them open it for us if we have proper identification.
