1999 Ford Explorer

my car engine light came on and the engine wont keep idle when started
the engine light code is massive air flow sensor
if i change this will it keep my idle going when i start

the code is telling you there is a fault with the MAF (mass airflow sensor) .. cleaning/changeing the sensor should rectify the fault ? ..

so what you are saying is clean and the idle will go back to normal

go to a good autoparts store (autozone etc.) ask them for a recomended cleaner .. when you have completed the repair .. go back to autozone etc. ask them to turn the light off for you !!
