1998 Ford Explorer transmission

My transmission will go into drive and shifts fine but will not go into reverse when shifted into it. This has just happened as of today and I am puzzled as the transmission does not make any noises when put into reverse it just sits and idols?

Hi there,

there will not be very much that you can do your self as this will be am internal problem, I would get it to a transmission specialist and get them to check it out for you.
