1997 Ford Explorer grinding noise

I have a grinding noise sounds like metal to metal in the right front wheel area. Seems ok when driving but when slowing down to a stop really grinds.

Hi there,

I feel that you have run out of brake pads and are stopping on the metal backing plate of the brake pad, this will destroy the rotor, get the brakes inspected ASAP.
