I was driving my explorer and as I started up a hill it acted like it went into neutral. It won't move in any gear and I have never had any problems with the transmission at all. Could my transmission be bad?

Check the fliud is it dark in color and have an odor not red. That would be a sign of clutch pack failure.
The only way you find out is have pressures checked

You can also check the fuses, there is a fuse on older vehicles that when blown it will kill the transmission, but the engine will run fine. Also if possible get the codes checked (Free at many parts stores). OBDII should show something that would kill the trany
