Firing order

Six cylinder four wheel drive automatic

I put a new engine in my truck. And it is just not right it is not idling correct. We think we have the firing order off. Does anyone know the exact firing order for my SUV or have any suggestions on what to check?

Engine Mechanical problem
1996 Ford Explorer 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 152000 miles

I messed and cant remember were to put the spark plug wire on the distibuter coil from the spark plug.

They are located in the cylinder heads.
