My starter is making that all-too-familiar clicking sound again, and I am needing to jump the battery in freezing weather. I replaced the alternator with a new one four years ago, and the battery with a brand new one eleven months ago. Could it by the cables? Could a high quality battery die that fast?

I have noticed the entire line of "Sears Die Hard" batteries have a tendency to bomb out, especially when you don't need the headache.
Do you have the "Sears die Hard". If you do I would head right down there and see what's up.
You don't even need a receipt, they can look it up on their computer. An eleven month old battery should not die that quickly, it should be replaced with a brand new one at no cost what so ever to you.

Good Luck;
Rick
