Should I either buy a new 4.0 engine for my explorer or should I just rebuild it? It has idle problems and reaction problems. I push the gas and it takes a second for it to catch on. If you recommend I rebuild it, can you give me a list of all parts needed to rebuild it? Thank you so much

Clean out the Idle Air Control Valve and have the TPS/MAF Sensors tested. You do not need a new engine. And for further advice check with your motorpool SERGEANT. Coming from a Vietnam Vet.

If I clean out the idle control valve and its still having problems, what next? My motor sgt has no clue what to do he only knows the HMMVWW and the new caimans we have. Also, where can I get my TPS/MAF Sensors tested? I really do appreciate all the help your giving and I say HOOAH to any vietnam vet. Thank you for your service
