Hi>
There is a drain plug in the oil pan. Remove it and the oil will drain from the engine. When it is finished draining, replace the plug securely. Next, locate the oil filter and remove it. Its location will differ on engine size so I can't be specific. You will most likely need a filter wrench to remove it. When removed, make sure the rubber o-ring gasket didn't stick to the engine. Now, on the new filter, place a thin film of oil on the new filter's o-ring gasket and replace the filter on the engine. Tighten it as tight as you can by hand. Oil capacity can differ, so I recommend you start by placing 4.5 quarts of oil in the engine. Start the car and allow it to run for 30 seconds while you check for leaks. Shut the engine and check the oil level. If it is low, add small amounts until it's full.
