Transmission problem
1994 Ford Explorer 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

i am looking into buying a 94 explorer the only problem is when you are driving it doesnt shift until you let your foot off the gas then it will shift. Does anybody know why it might do this

Most likely the vacuum line to the vacuum modulator is leaking. Check the rubber connectors at the manifold and at the modulator. Also look for any spots where the metal line may have rubbed through to cause a leak. If all checks out, replace the modulator.
