1993 Ford Explorer Torque Converted Switch

Does my truck have a torque converter switch. I was told that I need to unplug it because my truck is jerking when I place it in drive, and then stalls. If it does where is the switch located on the tranny?

You're looking for the TCC solenoid which is located inside the valve body on the transmission.See pic below:
