I asked a question a while back about my engine not idle right and I was told it sounds like an IAC problem. About the same time my car starting having this problem my car's gas milage went down quite a bit. I was wondering if my car having an idle problem and gas milage problem would be connected, or do I have 2 separate problems? If they are connected what can I do, if they're not connected what would be causing my gas mileage and what can I do?

Could be either way, they could be related or totally unrelated.

But since you say you have bad gas mileage that could indicate a bad 02 senosr and that could cause the idle issue.

Or you could have a bad EGR valve or PCV valve causing the rough idle and a lean or rich fuel mixture causing the poor gas mileage.
