Electrical problem
1993 Ford Explorer 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

hello I had my heater core replaced today and now my abs light came on this evening as I was driving home from work. My breaks worked fine. Also I have been having a problem with my lights flickering headlight, dash lights, dome lights. And my needle spasses out and sometimes my battery light flickers. If I turn my heat or air on full blast it steadys out for a short time only.I paid big money to have an electrical diagnostic ran on it and it came up with nothing. Please help!

The ABS and heater core are two seperate components. I'm thinking it is just a coinicidence. Note If the ABS light is on, the brake will still work fine, but the ABS will not. Chances are there is a sensor problem at some point. As far as the other problems, they all could be tied to a module called the GEM. It controls many things. What I recommend is having it checked and if the ABS light is still on, have the computer scanned to see what is causing it to stay on.

Let me know what you find.

Great! I'm glad you got it fixed. Honestly, I've seen a lot of ABS lights but none set by the alternator. Regardless, good luck and let us know if you have questions in the future.
