will a1995explorer 2wd 4.0 motor fit in a 1992 4wd explorer without any changes?

We always recommend using direct fit parts. Here is why. It will fit and bolt in, but there may be differences that you don't see that involve sensors. Also, when you go from a 2wd to a 4wd, the tail shaft is different.

I recommend you get a direct fit replacement.
