Upon starting up and driving the engine cold, it has very little torque. It also whines very loudly when pressing the accelerator (even when the transmission is in Neutral). This remains for about 3-5 minutes of driving (until the engine warms up). Once the engine is warm, torque increases to normal and the whining goes away. Any suggestions?

Hi there,

Thank you for the donation,

Do you feel that this noise is in the engine or transmission? To my way of thinking this may be a problem in the torque converter, have you check for any unresolved fault codes with in the ECU, you won't always get a fault light shoeing up. I would also get a transmission specialist to drive this from a cold start and get their opinion, but as I said I feel that it may be a torque converter issue.
