This is a very involved job. I recommend getting a good repair manual with step by step instructions and pictures to identify parts. Actually, this job should be left to a qualified service technician as it requires the rear differential to be disassembled. Unless you feel comfortable doing it.

Also, I am assuming this is a 95 because they didn't make the explorer in 85. For me to try to explaine this via the internet allows too much room for error.

Let me know if you have other questions.

Thanks for the answer.I do feel like I can do it and have pulled the diff cover and while it was draining, went and got the parts. By the time I got what I wanted, brake shoes, wheel cylinder, wheel bearing and seal, I ran out of daylight and had to make dinner.

If you have any input I would appreciate it. But I do have a question and that is, since I have not pulled the axle yet, I wonder if the inner race of the bearing is a machined surface on the axle itself as I could not find a inner race for sale at the store. And it is a roller bearing and not tapered. Thanks
