2002 Ford Expedition high idle wont shift automaticly

2002 Ford Expedition V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

On my 2002 expedition it sudenly started to idle high and stoped shifting automaticly. I had some people tell me it could be the mass air flow sensor, any thoughts?

Hi:
It could be many things. Before trying to replace parts that are still good, have the computer scanned for trouble codes. Most nationally recognized parts stores will do it for free.

Let me know what you find.
