2000 Ford Expedition Battery light came on

Light came on while wife driving. Drove home approx 35 miles. Parked, then re-started to go do an errand. Indicator on dash is at Low reading. Not enough juice to raise the driver side window. How do I diagnose whether this is a battery problem or a charging problem? Am trying to recharge the battery now with battery charger. Thank you very much.

If battery is fully charged up and you measure the battery voltage and it reads the charge battery voltage while engine is idling with no load applied the alternator is not doing its job

If the battery is original, good bet that's it. But should check that alternater out put anyways.
