My car wouldnt start, So we tried 2 jump it. It didnt wor so we used a diifferent battery 2 start it and then put the old one back in. We went straight 2 the store and bought a brand new battery. The gauges (battery one, temo, and oil) were not woring properly. We went 2 advance auto 2 have our alternator checked and it was fine. Now the gauges are working fine except the temperature gauge. It goes right to hot even after sittin in the freezing cold all night. I dont know what is going on? Never had any problems before. And it is not overheating at all. Drives fine. Wanted 2 know what it could possibly be? And if I can drive it like that. Thanx

If the temp gauge is the only thing that remains a problem, chances are the temp sending unit has shorted. It is an easy part to replace and not expensive. That is what I would start with.

Let me know if it helps.
