1998 Ford Expedition V8 Front Wheel Drive Automatic

A few days ago I had a friend change brake pads, when he returned it to me my check engine light was on and my a/c has stopped blowing cold air. He's not a mechanic, so I learned a valuable lesson. Leave it the professionals. But what could have happened?

The first thing to do now is read the code(s), that check engine light is on for a reason! If you need a scantool follow this link, or have Autozone scan it, they do it free.
