1997 Ford Expedition V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

turned the key to start and the lights went out inside and outside, like dead battery, battery OK, starter new, ignition switch new, disconnected all power, changed starter, reconnected had power lights, truned Key and nothing, internal and external lights out, nothing when trun key to start. Checked all fuses, have power from battery to all fuses in engine compartment not inside of car

Hello -

To better assist you please tell me the engine size in liter and the 8th digit of your VIN.

Also, if you take jumper cables and go from the positive side of the battery and touch the nut that the positive wire connects to the starter... Does it try to start then? Please be careful when you do this.

Also, can you go to Auto Zone (AZ) or O'Reilly's (OR) and use their loan a tool program and get a code scanner and bring home and pull the codes to the car. Most important: Once you check your codes, if you find something and you don't get it fixed and need to get back with us, please make sure you tell us exactly what the code was, number and all. Example, if the code was E0568 O2 Sensor bad. Then make sure you give us all of that.
