i have got the car to the point where, in the morning, the car starts after 3 attempts, I start driving, and after say 10 minutes of driving, I start to loose power, I need to gas it to keep it going, but if it stalls, or say I park it at wal mart to do xmas shopping, I come out to start it, and it wants to start, turning and firing but now turning over. I let the engine get cold again, and it starts. What the hell is wrong with this car!

'm jumping the gun on this, you need to find out what it is losing-spark or fuel or both.

Some of the escorts would give the symptoms of a bad fuel pump or one going bad, but replacing it doesn't always work. Get to the fuel pump through the back seat and check to see if the pump is getting power. If not follow the wiring back to the driver's side rear seat area and keep checking the wiring. You may find the wiring is rotted. This may cause the pump to go bad from poor resistance if I understand correct.

Intermittant problems are a bit of a challenge at times.
