Battery drain quickly

Hello first I did took alternatior off and check at advance auto part store they said alt is good so my dad in law said need replace voltage I look repair book and cant find voltage is at 1993 ford escort 1.9 liter and automatic has a/c other question about alternator sometime say good but it is really need replace?

Helllo 1992 toyota truck 3.0 liter automatic 209,000 miles
sometime I drove and it is not strong running at idle then go at 1 speed it is vey shake engine increease slow mph then finally get better running then return shake engine even I stop at any place I can smell from my window fume is causing from cataylic or oxygen sensor? Also my engine show need checking at shop clay excuse my deaf language I hope u understand my language thank you clay
