Needed some help with this. I think that someone put water into my gas tank so I need to know;
1) will that damage my engine to the point where I have to get a new engine or car and,
2) How do I remove or remedy this problem.

Fuel filter will catch some of it but not all
drain tank the best you can add
DRY gas to the tank and refill with high test fuel
replace fuel filter few times afterward

What effect will the water have on the car. Will the engine not start or will it damage the engine?

You can not burn water
engine may not start or if it did will run rough
water in fuel should not damage the engine
