FOR THE PAST TWO DAYS THE SPEEDOMETER HAS BEEN ACTING UP. SOME TIMES IT WON;T SHOW ANY SPEED AND THEN IT KIND OF JUMPS UP AND DOWN. IT DOESN'T DO IT ALL THE TIME ONLY EVERY NOW AND THEN. ALSO THE ODOMETER STOPS WORKING AT THE TIME ALSO. COULD IT BE THE SPEEDOMETER SENSOR?

you will need to scan for code(s) if no code(s) and the speedometer and odometer operate erratically, the problem is most likely in the VSS circuit or the VSS itself, check the wire back to the sensor for shorts .

let me know if you have question.
will help.
