1999 Ford Escort air conditioning

The air conditioning will not blow out cold air. Tried charging the system but it will not take any freon. The compressor is working and runs continuously. What could it be?

Most likely if the system is charged, either the compressor failed internally or the blend door in the dash is stuck on heat. Look under the dash while you turn from hot to cold and see if you can see the door move, possibly the actuator rod popped off
