When I chaged the battery in my 99 ford escort the blue 100 amp main fuse and the 10 amp fuse inside the car keeps blowing ive changed the starter and the alternator and it keeps blowing the fuse and there 13.00 dollars a piece and ive blown three of them. And I noticed that one cable from the positive terminal is connected at the firewall and the same cable is connected to a brcket on the starter but is not connected to the starter

Are you sure you are hooking the cable to the right battery posts? Main fuse will blow if you hook em up backwards.

Ok so the first replacement battery worked, but the posts were on the wrong side? Second battery has a problem with blowing the main fuse? Try a known good battery, with the right specs for your car.
