We were driving it and pulled up to let out kid at school and it died and will not start. We have power, lights and it does attempt to turn over but just will not go ahead and start. I have replaced the vac advance valve, with no success in it starting. Please help with suggestions I am stuck. I live on a set pension as a widow and just do not have the money to take it to the shop for them to tell what is wrong. Please anything would be helpful. LadyDragnPhoenix@yahoo. Com Thanks Rev. Yvonna Wilke

OOps, my bad sorry meant to type 4 cyclinder, but is fuel injected and does have pvc vaccum advance valve, cause I just replaced it a while back from junk yard so thought that might have been due to being old so just replaced with new one, no help.

This question is a mystery so we need more information. I don't know of any 6cyl Escorts or a vacuum advance unit on any engine. Most common problems why 4cyl escorts don't start are fuel safety valve tripped(in trunk over wheelwell), broken timing belt, bad plug wires. In any case we need more help from you.
