I have a friend who used a handhend code reader to tell me that my service light is on because of a code PO 136. What does this signify and how do I go about to fix it?

P0136 Oxygen Sensor Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 2)

Need to replace your bank 1, sensor 2 oxygen sensor , located on the exhaust system. Normally when this code is thrown, it may be a downstream oxygen sensor that has failed as well. Most vehicles have 2 or 3 O2 sensors so you should check your sensors before replacing them to ensure you are replacing the correct one.
