i have a '98 ford escort se wagon, will a '98 ford escort zx2 engine fit in my '98 se wagon?

The engine should fit. I am not sure about the electroics. You may have to swap the engine mangerment system.

Does anyone know if I would have to change the electronics for the 98 se wagon if I would put the 98 zx2 engine in the se wagon please let me know thanks

It is not plug-n-play switching from the SOHC Split Port Injection to DOHC MPFI. You have to get the PCM (obviously) and all I mean ALL wiring harnesses. They are totally different engines nothing is interchangeable, wiring and electronic wise.
