My escort wont start. Wen u turn the key to the start position it wont turn the starter or motor ove r but if u cross the contacts with the key on it will roll over but still wont start. ANY IDEAS?

The contacts on the starter but I have fixed that issue. It was the electric part of the ignition switch. Now I have another issue. The motor turns over but there is no fire coming from the plugs. There is 12 volts to the ignition coil but no fire coming from the plugs themselves. Sany ideas as to what could b causing this?

This means that the coil either not being energised to produce the charge to the plugs or your cam or crank sensor could be bad also check the connections to these parts before replacing.
Are you recieving a check engine light on the dash? If so check what code it has.
