1994 Ford Escort Camshaft replacement

Engine Mechanical problem
1994 Ford Escort 4 cyl 260000 miles

I have to replace the timing belt, camshaft, cam seal, & 8 hydraulic valve lifters. Are there any parts inside the head or any other specific parts I need to replace assuming everything else appears to check out okay? I also assume I the head gasket now needs to be replaced since we pulled the head to get the camshaft out.

Hi there,

A new head gasket is a must, also have the head checked for any warp even if it was ok, and have it machined flat, while the head is off have the valve stem seals replaced as well and use new head bolts when re fitting.
