1994 Ford Escort 138000 miles. Good or bad?

1994 Ford Escort Automatic 138000 miles

I'm not sure if 138000 miles is good or bad for a 1994 ford escort. Are any of the parts going to have to be replaced soon? The car was well maintained and looks very nice. I just don't know if the engine will have to be rebuilt soon or if I will encounter problems with it. Is 138000 miles too high for this car?

Check to see any sign of any leaks. While you are under the vehicle, check the ball joints and CV axles boots. Make sure that they are not torn.

Next thing is to a compression test to make sure that all internal parts are in order and the head gasket is intact.

As with any vehicle, with that kind of miles, make sure that the timing belt and water pump has been replaced recently. If the seller doesn't even know, that will be the first thing that I replace.
