Transmission problem
1987 Ford Escort 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual

My brother is needing my help over the phone, and It is hard for me to help with out actually being there. He put a clutch in an 87 escort but he says the tranny spins with the clutch disenguaged and quits with it pushed in, I am not sure whats going on with out being there. Thanks

I'm face with this problem day in and out for every question I answered in this website as a moderator.

When you depress the clutch pedal you disengaged the clutch from the tranny. Tell him to bleed the clutch slave and adjust the free play and pedal height and see what happens Otherwise he's going back in and investigate-
