Electrical problem
1985 Ford Escort 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

Change starter and relay switch but still no engage to flywheel and the teeth is all intact. Can you help me? Also can ground play a part in not starting?

If starter engage and spins (all electric and ground OK )
but will not make contact with the flywheel to spin the engine (flywheel is good )
I would say check the starter make sure u have the right one for the right mode engine and year
check if mounted on and its all the way in where it suppose to be
